DG834G Random Internet Drops

Got a new DG834G the other day, everything is gravy, apart from when I would tab in/out of a game, it would sometimes just completely drop; no internet connection at all, although all the light are on on the router and Windows says the port is connected. I'm not sure if its the router or not but it seems to be quite the coincidence.

Any have any ideas what it could be and what I could do to correct it?

Check the routers log. That will tell you if it has lost connection or not.

What version of the firmware are you using?

The disk says "Version 3.1"

Router homepage says: Firmware Version V4.01.06

There could be several reasons! Have you tried the setup wizard? It should find the right MTU size for your line/provider as it can cause drop outs. The filter could be dodgy or it could be over heating.

If yours is v3 that im quite sure it doesnt have the over heating problem
