DG834G V2 - Noise?

Hi all,

Got myself a DG834G v2 on a 2mb pipex adsl conneciton. The router is reporting the following....

Connection Speed 2272 kbps / 288 kbps
Line Attenuation 30 db / 7.5 db
Noise Margin 23 db / 28 db

Is the noise figures ok? I was under the impression that lower was better for some reason? And what is line attenuation?

Mate of mine had the same fgures as mine (+/-1) and now has 8MB DSL so can't be that bad. (DG834G v2 also)
