DG834GT - Security settings help needed

I have just setup a DG834GT and need advice on making this a secure connection so that the neighbours dont nick my service.

Anyone advise me on how to do this?

I have a username and password for connecting - and selected WAP - is that enough?

Hi

I assume you mean WPA, make sure you use a good password so not things like you family name etc try and mix case so use capitals and lower case also numbers in your password.

You can also set the router to only accept connections from machines you specify based on the MAC address of the wireless adapters you are using.

Finally you can also turn of the SSID brodcast so you network will not show up when your neighbour does a scan for wirless networks.
 
Do you know where all these settings are on the router?

I know I will have to sigh into the router then go wireless...

When I put a password in for the WPA, it does not ask for one when I connect on my computer, I am straight in, is that normal?
