Just got the DGM 27" LED IPS monitor. And I've noticed some back light bleeding. Is this normal? does it get replaced if that happens or should i just try to ignore it?
Your pic is a bi too ****e to draw anything conclusive from to be honest bud. I'm in the process of returning my dgm for backlight bleed and clouding (and a blob of dirt behind the panel which was even worse obviously).
I had some pics in the dgm thread demonstrating mine and comparing to my other dell. See link below. I think these dgm monitors are very hit and miss.
ive just used tftcentrels icc profile and cant see any backlight bleed at all, might be worth a try as mine came out of the box way to bright my eyes started to burn
Yes it does, but you have to alter the backlight brightness to minimise backlight bleed or improve black level. That isn't something ICC profiles can do. What ICC profiles can do is reduce overall luminance levels when white and non-black shades are displayed. It can basically affect every shade other than black, which is why contrast is reduced after applying an ICC profile (more so if big adjustments are made).
