I have a DGM IPS-2701WPH 27" monitor that I brought from overclockers. The monitor failed to power up today and there is no green light on the power supply. I have been looking around for a replacement power supply but it seems impossible to find. I have tried contacted dgm directly but they don't seem to answer their phones. Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

While the screen is still under warranty I really don't want to have to wait 4+ weeks to get this sorted as this screen is vital to my work setup.

As I was advised in the main 2701 thread, once you get a reply from DGM they seem very helpful. They're not a big brand though, so I suspect it's just a few people multi-tasking, hence the persistence required to get through.

I contacted ocuk but they have just fobed me off and told me to contact dgm directly. Tried ringing again today for the umpteenth time and they still wont pick up the god damn phone.

How long have you had it? That affects who you need to contact.

If you look at the Which! page on what to do about faulty goods, you will see the following...

Your rights if an item is faulty
In the first six months from when you buy something, the onus is on the seller to prove it was of satisfactory quality when you received it.

There is more about what they must do and who to contact if they refuse.

Once you are beyond the 6 months, it is between you and the manufacturer and the warranty. OCUK are not obliged to contact them for you however.

Have a read and see if the article (and stock complaint letter) helps.

Yeah... DGM will tell you to **** off. Well actually they just wont answer anything. If this monitor is business critical you went with the wrong company ;)

Thanks for all the replies, I did finally manage to get through today and will be sending the power brick back for replacement (hopefully they don't try and screw me). That being said I have been forced to just bite the bullet and buy a Dell UltraSharp U2414H as I cant be waiting for 4-5 weeks to get this sorted. At least I will have a shiny new toy to open tomorrow.

I had the same problem and DGM were a nightmare to deal with. Took weeks and weeks, I had to send them the old one back from Berlin which is where I'm living now, then they claimed not to have received it e.t.c. Considering it's a common problem I would have thought they would give people the benefit of the doubt and just replace it.

Well, my PSU blew up last night. Their website was down but got the support number from Google cache: 0871 250 8000

No problem getting through and the guy seemed nice enough. Will report back on how long things take. Gotta admit I'm nervous about possibly having another PSU blow up out of the 12 month period - a new aftermarket one is about £50, though reports are that DGM will send you one for £15? That's a big difference and possibly explains why they're failing.

Google search for the Psu make and model (chicony?) and you will find them for under £20

Not for the DGM, the voltage is weird on the DGM and so is the actual connection to the monitor, i think the only alternative i found was from america for like £30 plus £20 postage.

DGM are actually very good at getting the block out to you quickly....which suggests a lot of practice...but ah well!

The orientation on the 4-pin din is wrong on the DGM but you can get a decent power brick from the usual places and just change the orientation to match the DGM (with some basic soldering and wire cutting)

I did it with a replacement 7.5amp 24v brick (runs a lot cooler btw) in about 30 mins.
:)

I had a power brick fail on one of my DGMs, i couldn't arsed going through the whole RMA process, so i bought two replacements from DGM directly at £15 each.

Came in around 3 days.

my dgm power brick died 2 weeks ago, phoned dgm, the lady on the other end was great.

she sent me an email, i filled the form in, got a rma in about 4 days.

lol, arghhhh, just tried the psu they sent me, same thing dead!!! makes a chirping sound and the green light doesn't light up on it, not happy.

Why not do a quick "how-to" with pics and post? :)
