DGM IPS-2701WPH yellow tint?

Morning all,

we purchased one of these monitors last week and I finally got around to setting it up over the weekend. It is superb in every respect EXCEPT that there is a pronounced yellow tint that affects the right side of the display. It is progressive in that it starts around midway and gets more 'yellow' the further towards the right edge you get. On the left, whites are very white!

I have the monitor in a dual-display setup as the primary monitor. The second monitor is a Dell 2209WA in portrait mode. Windows 7 SP1, ATI Radeon 5700 graphics, DGM is connected via dual-link DVI and Dell on standard DVI. The configuration is extended desktop.

I have applied the ICC Profiles for both the DGM and Dell independently (i.e. they each are using their own profile).

- Has anybody else experienced this colour shift?
- Is the monitor faulty?
- is it the dual-display setup that is causing the problem? (note - I have powered the Dell off and the problem still exists, but I haven't removed it from the setup completely - pressure of work means limited time!)

Many thanks

Derek

You might as well try it as a single display to rule that out but it does sound more like a hardware related uniformity issue. If its very noticeable I'd suggest an RMA for a replacement as it shouldn't be doing that

I have a similar problem on mine, but it's on the bottom quarter to a third of the screen.

It's pretty faint, only noticeable on a white background. I've tried loosely calibrating my screen with the info from TFTcentral, but I can still see it.

It's a shame really, as in all other respects the screen is perfect with no dead or stuck pixles.

At least it's not just mine then!

I've since removed the second Dell monitor from the setup and have tried running the DGM on its own - it makes no difference and the yellow is still there.

I've also calibrated mine using the settings and ICC profile from TFTCentral, and I've run it at various different resolutions.

The tint must either be behind the glass (it's definietely not on the surface) or it must be within the panel (uneven power to the LEDs?)

Unfortunately, even though it's a budget price, one of my reasons for going with it was TFT Central's review and praise for its colour accuracy, so it's going to have to go back. I just hope that it's not a bad batch.
