DGM monitor problem ?

hi guys I turned my pc on , it has a dgm l-2362wd screen it flashed to black and off on illuminated power button and came back on but the desktop is sort of washed out like someone turned down the brightness , iv checked the device manager and graphics seem ok no yellow ? marks , could it be the monitor on the way out or my old ati 4800 graphics card , im also running w7pro any advise ?

can you check it on another monitor or tv?

I have borrowed a screen it works perfectly so the monitor looks to be on its way out .
