Hi

I have a Netgear DGN2000 router that I have opened 3 ports on and all is fine when I test to see if they are open.
I added the custom service for each of the ports and then added them to the firewall.
These ports have been working fine for months but yesterday I wanted to add another port and I just cannot get the router to add anymore ports no matter what number I try.
I am with Aquiss internet and I am wondering if something is blocking me at the isp end because I tried another router and could not add anymore ports.

Please can anyone shed some light on what might be going wrong ?

The DGN2000 is running DGteam firmware and I even flashed back to the latest Netgear firmware just incase but no success with anything I have tried.

Thanks

You can't open the port, or the port doesn't show as open when tested externally?

Your ISP can't stop you opening ports on your router.

They could be blocking traffic on specific ports, or port ranges.

When I test to see if the port is open I use either canyouseeme.org and www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports .
Both of these report that the port is closed to my ip address.
I just cannot figure it out, I have port 12000 open at the moment and it is shown as open using one of those test sites above. I tried to add 12001 and it just wont open so I doubt it could be a range problem.

I contacted Aquiss and they say they are definately not blocking any ports. I am totally lost on what to do here, I just cannot seem to open more than 3 ports if I try anymore no matter what numbered port I try to open it fails.
