DGN2000 problems

Could it be my DGN2000 is failing, 5Hrs of use massive speed drop, reboot then it's ok again. Every day I have to do this now.
My ISP has done checks for me, no problems at BT exchange or my ISP. I am on 21CN at the exchange, whatever that means!.
Dug out my old DG834G V2, speed are now stable again!. my DGN2000 is 7 months old. checked Netgear for firmware upgrades, no luck.
Anyone else having problems with this router?
 
I did yes, my DGN2000 worked fine for 1 month then started getting MANY drop-outs which resulted in speed dropping from 3775kbps to 120kbps, then I'd have to reboot it. This began happening once a day then simply got worse over time.

I believe its an overheating problem, have you noticed how hot under the router gets? Anyway I sent it back and asked for a refund & now using BeThere's standard router since, no problems.
 
Had the DGN2000 vertical on clips I had from my old Netgear. To late for a refund me thinks.
A well known computer store ( I will have to pay post to return to them) in Portsmouth will send it back to Netgear, if so and I get a replacement I will sell it on.
