This router gave up the ghost last week and as it's less than 1 year old I sent it back to where I purchased it from via RMA (not OCUK I hasten to add). The problem was that only the first 2 ports would work for me and whenever I plugged anything into the bootom 2 ports they wouldn't work. I tried reflashing with the latest firmware etc but still the same. This morning I received an email from them stating that after "extensive" testing it was working ok. I told them it wasn't and that I had since purchased a new router (DGN3500) and it was working perfectly. They said they would test it again and have just called me back to say they are returning it as they it's ok.

Question is, where do I stand now? The guy said I had to take it back and try it and if it still wasn't working I'd have to send it back and they'd take another look at it. Feel like they're just sending me in circles. Can I RMA it through Netgear or is that what I should have done in the first place?

Personally, i would have sent it straight back through Netgear. Just tell them your a reseller and you'll normally get through all the Tech Support waffle that they try and talk you through, at least that's how it went when i tried to return some Linksys gear...

Looking back that's exactly what I should have done but thought I was doing the right thing by going back through the seller.

Just raised a query with Netgear so hopefully they'll sort me out although I no longer need the router as I now have a DGN3500 which has been great so far.

I've just RMA my DGN2000 with netgear and I have to say, Support was first class. Sent router on a thursday and a new router was delivered to me on a monday.

My router kept locking up and rebooting itself, But it was also running way too hot aswell.
