DHCP client service missing

Hello

One of my users reported that he can't get a DHCP IP address. Upon further investigation, it looks like the Windows service is not there.

When I open the service console (services.msc), on a good system, it shows the service called DHCP Client as running, automatic.

On this PC, the Windows console doesn't even list the service, which probably explains why DHCP doesn't work.

I've spent ages searching to see if anyone else has reported this, but so far no luck.

Any idea why, and how I can reinstall & re-register the service in Windows?

It's a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 install.

Thanks
G
