I'm having a strange problem with my main rig.

I've recently gone back to wireless using a linksys usb adapter. All was fine until yesterday when I turned it on, the wireless established with good signal etc but the wireless network icon sat on "Acquiring IP" and in the end failed to obtain one.

I turned my laptop on and it acquired an IP from the router fine (router is a "bebox", my isp is be).

I tried ipconfig /renew, reinstalling drivers, rebooting etc but to no avail.

Strange that it appears to be just that computer (would expect that if the router was buggered the laptop wouldn't acquire), it also seems like it is windows as it doesn't work with windows wireless utility or the linksys utility.

Any ideas??

If wep/wpa is enabled, disable it and try again. If that works, reset the router and setup as you would have done then give it another go.
