DHL 'Customer refused delivery' but no card!

Basically I was expecting a delivery, waited in all day today for a parcel that arrived from Germany, normally DHL are like clockwork here and the guy turns up around 12-2 pm, today no show.

What puzzles me, it says 'receiptant refused delivery' my wife took over waiting after 4pm, we were both in, and there isnt even a card!

Id like to if possible go and collect it tommorow. Does anyone know if this is possible on a saturday. I `ll probably have the ring first. I dont want another repeat performance of this on monday.

Complaint to DHL, asap... Doesn't a refused delivery mean they send it back ?

From that I would assume they tried to deliver to the wrong address and the person there, quite rightfully, refused delivery. Would explain the status and why you have no card.

Called them this morning, the guy one the phone said he put it to one side. so I poppped in the car and joined the long queue of customers also waiting. It took them 25 minutes to find my parcel once i gave the person serving the awb number.

In total was in thier 60 minutes waiting.

Was all down to the fuss that had kicked off at the airport, due to the ups bomb scare.

Surely they should then go and try a correct address?

Why would they do that if they believed they had attempted at the right address?

Probably because the guy at the other end refused it on the grounds he's not the recipient and that wasn't his address?
