Di Matteo sacked

There was a bit of talk earlier in the thread about just how good the Chelsea job is and the more I think about it, it's a lot better than it looks at first sight and in a strange way, a 6 month deal is probably better than a long-term deal too.

The only realistic expectation for any manager taking over now is to make sure Chelsea qualify for the CL again next season. And even then, if things go badly, they've got the dysfunctional Chelsea argument to fall back on. However with the squad they've got and with them not being that far behind City, they could (albeit unlikely) go very close to winning the league.

Exactly, if you get sacked after 6 months - its because the way it is at Chelsea.
If you win something, adds to your CV.
If you win something, gets 3 years contract, then sacked after 6 months. $$$

win win win!

Just breaking on SSN that Rafa is flying here to talk to QPR & Mourinho is set to be appointed after the Man.C. game tonight as long as RM get through to the knockouts

Please, break that news, please.

Just looking at some recent games and v our last 7 opponents it's only Spurs who we were better than in regards of a team performance, perhaps Liverpool too but that's debatable.
That includes WBA, Swansea and Shakhtar who, with all due respect, we should at least be as good as but they were all better.
Player for player it's a no brainer but as a team we just weren't good enough.

Mourinho back to Chelsea? God I hope so...

That would be awesome & if RDM had made it to the end of the season then it may have been plausible.
Can't see it now though unless Rafa is willing to just keep the seat warm for him, shouldn't be too much trouble for that fat arse of his.

There's no way Mourinho would leave Real half way through a season to rejoin Chelsea, what if Chelsea go out of the Champions League? He'll look a right idiot

I love the way that whenever there's even a hint of someone getting sacked Brendan Rodgers comes out and says it's appalling. Sounds like he's terrified!

Was thinking on the way home from work... I've been with my other half 4 years now (she's a plastic Chelsea 'supporter') in those 4 years Chelsea have now had 7 different managers, you wouldn't think that was even possible :o

That must be hard:p, thankfully my missus doesnt pay any attention to Arsenal although her brother is a die hard Fulham fan:o

With an owner like RA, anything is possible:p
