Di Matteo sacked

We have a new team, a lack of decent strikers, we're 3rd in the PL and still have a chance of staying in the CL, he just won the CL, and yet they sack him IN NOVEMBER! The board are a joke!

Guardiola and Benitez are the current names going about to replace him.

Pretty disgusting treatment of a Chelsea legend.

Turning into a joke of a club now. Abramovich has sacked good manager after bad, season after season, without giving them a proper chance to mould/build the team. It was never going to be easy to replace someone like Drogba, not to mention the other players that have gone like Anelka.

How miserably predictable.

Now how are the club going to deal with the need for a couple of competitive forwards, a defensively minded midfielder who can balance the side, and a centre back who can stabilise the shambles at the back when Terry isn't playing?

Well I said I'd take great satisfaction when the time came that RA got rid of him so cant say I have any sympathy :)

BBC and others are claiming it might be Benitez for the rest of the season

Owner Roman Abramovich has made contact with former Liverpool manager Rafael Benítez to gauge his interest in taking charge at Chelsea on a short-term basis.
The club's Russian owner made contact with Benitez even before the defeat in Italy as he assessed his options.

Well it is November, that's what happens.

I said the other day that this team is going backwards.
We've been poor for weeks now with comical defensive performances and clueless attacking with no signs of improvement. I suppose RDM is ultimately responsible but the players need to take the blame too.
Should sack Torres as well by the way.
