Diabling switchable graphics...

I recently got the humble bundle and installed burnout. My laptop is a dell inspiron i7, 8gb ram with a amd 8730m 2gb.

No matter what I do, i cannot get burnout paradise (from the recent humble bundle) to run using the graphics card. This game used to run maxed out on my old 8800gtx, so I know the machine specs should handle it, and despite setting the game to maximum performance in the catalyst control centre, the game runs terribly.

Anyone know if this game has a problem with switchable graphics or how i can force it to use the gfx card?

Under CCC have you set the game to High Performance? Have you also checked that the CPU is turbo boosting to the right speed? Use something like GPU-Z or MSI AfterBurner to check the 8730m speed + usage while gaming.

Have you checked with task manager, CPU-Z and GPU-Z to check that everything is running on max speed when gaming? Is your Windows performance settings set to balanced/high profile?
