diablo 3 £21 pre order

ok not great but seriously how many of you really thought you would get a big name game for 9.99!!!!

Not me, that's why I didn't preorder, however, add this to other people who never had orders fulfilled, late deliveries etc.

Not sure they are really worth ordering from.

Why do people pre-order... at all??

Seriously, I've never seen a pre-order price that wasn't higher than release. Why crow, why?

Admittedly it's not all the time, but sometimes it can be cheaper to preorder. Batman AA for example - a few weeks before release, you could get it for £17 if you looked around, but just over a week before release, it was £25 everywhere. Last one I saw was STO - bought it from the cheapest place I could and on release day it went up a fiver.

I've never had any problems with Amazon but i remember a tonne of people having their Gold Edition Star Trek Online orders cancelled right before the game launched, they weren't pleased.

Althuogh Amazon probably did them a favour looking back on it.

Windows 7 for £49, i preordered that one :)

I pre-ordered two copies of W7 at that price but I knew what I was getting because of the feedback from the release version. Pre-ordering games like this is different, It could be crap. I can never understand why people pre-order.

Because sometimes you get to play a demo first?..

Ok, in this specific case there isn't one yet, but let's face it, if you like Diablo type games, you're probably fairly safe here.

Sometimes it's a matter of faith in the developer. For example, I preordered Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 on the strengths of their previous games, and I wanted both of those through my letterbox as soon as I could get them. Yes, could have gone and bought them from a local store the day they came out, but it would have cost more.

'Probably' being the operative word.

Mind you...I'd just as well of pre-ordered Dragon Age as I did buy it on release...regret it now as it was a let down and not worth what I payed for it.
