Fine with the story and a bit of end game, I just didn't understand the attraction of seasonal play so thought I was missing something. You're right though, these games tend to be a one and done for me but I got at least 60h out of the original launch. It's good for some brainless quick action as you don't have to fanny about to get anywhere.
Looks good, but I'll reserve judgement until I've played it as previous updates have ranged from decent to awful.
So it seems that there's a free chance to try playing a paladin ATM. I tried it. Still can't get into this game. I loved D3, but this game does not have what D3 had: fun. They've gone back to the style D2, where everything is a chore, set up by an accountant. I liked D2 at the time, and played a tesladin to about level 76, but find I can't play that game either any more.
More of a POE 1 enjoyer but watched new league reveal this week and there is so much being added to endgame in POE 2 it might finally be decent
I feel the same, I loved playing D3 but I have stopped playing D4 for some time now (Did last paid update but not touched it since).
The multiplayer side of things was good and enjoyed that in Rifts etc but from what I can see there is no multiplayer in D4 for dungeons etc so you need to run them all solo.
Quests, again, from the last time I played only story line quests counted if you was playing with friends, any other quests did not count to other players so took the fun out of doing them with friends and made you solo them all.
For the love of me I was never able to find gear for builds and struggled to find anything decent with armour and in turn left me stuck as unable to progress through the difficulties where D3 I was able to to builds without any issues.

In D4 you can run dungeons and all the other activities in multiplayer/co-op but most people play solo. The only "gripe" this season is the war plan mechanic which doesn't share objectives within a group.
As for finding gear, it shouldn't be hard to find appropriate equipment as you level up. But you do need to engage in some initial prep work to understand all the various mechanics in D4. There is quite a bit to learn if you just jump in blind.
I assumed that this would be the case.
Maybe I need to have a read up and then maybe I would enjoy it more.

I’m having a good time. My necro with like 7 skeleton swordsman, 5 skeleton mages and 3 golems just destroy everything. I’m playing on the difficulty just below torment as it’s locked off. How do I open up torment difficulty ?

So ... that Mephisto boss fight. Utter trash. Numerous one shot kill mechanics, unskippable cutscenes between the 3 phases and visual FX that obscure nearly all of his attacks. Forget trying it with anything less than one of the few S tier builds eg. WW barb ...

When you go to the fountain / statue ( in some of the main cities ) to change difficulty level it will tell you what challenge you need to complete to unlock a given tier ... in the case of T1 you have to beat lvl 10 in the Pit.

Bit disappointed that the best “looks” are locked down with platinum. I really want that WoW bird mount. But I’m not paying £20 for it.
