There was a game released in the last few months that was simililar to Diablo, can anyone tell me what it's called? Or if possible any other similar RPG thats worth a look.

Yes its probably torchlight youre thinking of. Also some people here will give praise to Titan Quest, but I found it decent at best.

I loved Torchlight, its the newer end of the Diablo style games, the animations and spells are good and interesting. I tried to play Titan quest the other day, just couldn't handle the boring attack animations and skills, and from what I read lots of rinse and repeat areas so decided to drop it. Hurry up Torchlight 2, Diablo 3 :D

Torchlight is awesome, but there's no depth. Play it, and then buy Titan Quest + Immortal Throne.

I've been through that damn game 10 times now. There are three difficult levels (Normal, Epic, Legendary) that you can take your character through, and I have 3 that have fully completed it and another that is getting there. The farming once you get to Legendary is brilliant and extremely addictive.

There are also a load of mods available for it, such as always show damage, infinite stacking of pots, etc. - http://www.titanquest.net/tq-forum/forum.php

Invincible Haruspex ***. Yes, she has 100% dodge (which is literally 100% dodge) and over 2200 DA meaning she can't be hit physically. Damn those AoE attacks I can't dodge!

I am playing Titan Quest for the first time and I am really struggling to get through it. Its just so damn boring!

Will have to have a look at torchlight as well :)

I don't understand why so many people like Titan quest. Most of the skills are passive skills so until you get the to a really high level most of the time you're just pointing and clicking your basic attack. Utterly utterly boring. I couldn't bring myself to play any longer once I reached half way into the second chapter.

Gets harder when you get further into the game. You can say this about all of them.

I would argue that it's a hackn'slash game so this it what it does (just like Diablo and Diablo II) and it does it very well.

I agree, Titan Quest's skills and character development sucks compared to DIablo (and to a lesser extent Torchlight)

Diablo, Torchlight, Neverwinter nights, baldurs gate etc. all have great character development where you aren't point and clicking your passive skills, and have a wide range of real time skills to utilise all through the game.

Also to have a system where you have to right click mobs constantly rather than just hold the button down, or select and auto attack, in this day and age is daft and tiresome.

You just don't know how to play it properly! The balance between passive and active skills is perfect and character development and item farming are equally as good. The game is a little unbalanced once you get to know it and know how to farm, but that's because IronLore went bust
