just decided for the fun of it to reinstall Diablo 1, thats not Diablo 2

but it wont work under windows. Every time it gets ot run, it crashes with an error message which doesnt say much. Yes I have tried compatabiliyt mode in every os and all the themes disabled. Any other ideas?

The following program has encountered an error and must close. Yknow the standard windows program crash message. random data at the top of the error:

hmm ignore that. its just my main pc it doesnt work on. my other pc works fine with it

I rmemeber a room several levels down where you get to it and its like a big square room full to the brim with enemies, one in every square. I stuck a couple of firewalls at the entrance and they all killed themselves trying to get to me. That was satisfying!

dosbox wont work on this kind of think cause diablo is a windows based program, and dosbox only emulates dos programs. but read above, I got it to work and it turned out it was just my main pc having problems.

yeah I do miss them both a lot. I never played diablo 1 multiplayrer more then round a mates lan. My housemates I got in to diablo 2 several months back and they havent stopped playing it since. As for D3, theres been rumours for years.... I gave up hope. but god it would be good fun

I remember actually in D1 I got a unique weapon called Hellslayer, and nothing could stand in my way. Almost everything was a 1 hit kill, was beautiful. Then I got the same weapon with the same name etc in D2, and it was rubbish!
