A farmer I know is still waiting for her broadband to be sorted out, so has had to go back to her dial-up. She has done this once already and it was working, but we tried over the phone the other day to sort the broadband out, then she told me she got a text saying it wasn't ready lol. We went to reinstate the dial-up connection and for some reason IE is no longer working with it.
I cannot think (over the phone) what it could be.
*Dial-up to virgin connects, displays connection speed ok.
I have set IP to be automatic, and manually set the DNS addresses to hopefully the right ones (194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100).
The connection tab in IE is set to dial a connection and the I have tried the lan settings (not necessary really) to automatic detect and tried it without auto detect.
IE just doesn't seem to want to work with the connection... what am I missing out?
NOTE: I can't get the 28ish miles to her farm as my car is broken.
