Morning all!

my friend is currently after a new phone... monthly contract!... and she has seen one that looks quite good on 'dialaphone' (www.dialaphone.co.uk)

shes just a bit wary on if the stuff on there is legit, as it looks incredibly cheap... does anybody have any information on this?

Cheers =]

I got a phone off them a few years back. They seem to be ok.

The only thing you have to watch out for is the half price line rental. In most cases you have to pay full rental and then get a cheque back after you have sent loads of paperwork off after six months or so

I got my first phone off there with Orange. They're basically a re-seller.
I had an email the other day saying they were giving away a free Wii with one of their new packages! Not bad!

I've used them. Apart from the sales calls I still get now a few years on, everything was ok - and their sales staff actually put the phone down quite quickly when you say you're not interested :)

what about the offers they have like free psp or ps3 etc.? is that just a way too lure you in to sign the contract and then tell you that theyre out of stock or do you actually get a psp etc?

a friend told me yesterday that it was done a first come first serve basis and that the first 50 (if they had 50 in stock) get the ps3's and the remaining customers get discounts on their line rental?

can anyone confirm this?

You'll get the console as it's part of the contract you take with them, but you'll have to wait 30 days or so. It's not really 'free' though; usually they give consoles etc away with fairly old phones with expensive monthly rentals or other charges, so you're paying for it one way or another.

As for dial-a-phone themselves, they were fine for me when I had my contract through them in 2005 until early this year. Definitely better than Phones4U.

Its REALLY not as bad as everyone makes out and i have to do it every 3 months. Basically you staple a small voucher to your latest bill which u get in the post, put them in an envelope, and post to them. All in all it takes around 3-4 minutes. Its really not that bad and the cashback offers are some of the best.
