Diamondback stiff button?

My Razer Diamondback has in the last few days developed a stiff button! not as kinky as it sounds though

The left mouse button has become substantially firmer than the right so much so that gaming for a while ends up with a sore finger, anyone experienced this and found a fix?

It was purchased Feb 17 2005, so not long left on the warranty.

No rattles, so I dont think anything has broken.

I've put in an RMA request to OCUK. Will wait and see what they say.
