I never knew that someone constantly screwing their lips to one side (for comical value) would annoy me so much that i would find it impossible to watch.

Apparently it's supposed to be funny.

I was only aware of the Nic Cage Mandy and not this. After checking IMDB, I cannot fathom why something like this both exists and why anyone would waste any part of their life to watch it.

Horses for courses I guess.

Would it annoy you if I said Diane Morgan can do no wrong in my eyes and I find Mandy to be hilarious?

It’s utterly dire. Odd that the bbc (given how progressive they claim to be) are happy to broadcast a series that so openly mocks poor white working class stereotypes?

I’ve thought Diane Morgan was brilliant in other shows she’s starred in but clearly scriptwriting isn’t her strong point.

Was the question aimed at me? If so no of course not. It would be a dull old world if we all liked the same thing and nothing would get invented or made I suspect.

My partner watches stuff like this and I mate with her. Don't worry, you are safe.

The BBC is only interested in being progressive if that means women, alphabet sexuality, race and ethnicity, and disability, mocking poor white people is fine, and they have nothing to say about rising financial inequality - that's all fine.

What the BBC wants is to maintain the financial status quo and their place within it, ie publicly funded and stuffed with uppper middle class people, and rampant nepotism. The BBC is fine with inequality as long it's financial and doesn't affect them.

it's fine because unlike little Britain it doesn't mock gays or black people.

white people don't count
