[Reality Bites]

I need an app which will let me record through a mic and then burn the recording to audio CD.

Can anyone recommend something decent and preferably very cheap?

edit :- would prefer something more #professional# than sound recorder

Maybe worth a look here http://www.nch.com.au/software/dictation.html , don't know what it costs, though. I use other (free) software from this company.

audacity opensource sound editing/recording software

use cdburnerxp to record the audio to cd.
