Did anyone get a Palm Pre in the end?

I am considering selling my Hero to move to a Palm Pre now that my Voda contract is up. I seem to live in a Vodafone dead spot, unless I am by a window upstairs at the back of the house I don't get a signal.

I played with one today at lunch, very smooth. I love the shape and I got on with the keyboard straight away.

Few questions to anyone that does have one, is there turn by turn satnav available for it? From Google (or is that only Android?). I did actually buy Co-Pilot for the Hero which I will lose when I move away from an Android device.

I've got one and love it to bits. Really has the best mobile OS i've ever used. Saying that I'm eager to give the HD2 a try due to that huge screen. :D

Is there any turn by turn sat nav for the Palm Pre UK edition? I think there was free software with the US Sprint version (which makes it very hard to google).

Funny you should say that, was looking at the Pre in the shop today with my brother who has the HD2. I've had a play, it boils down to the problem it is running Windows Mobile. Big screen, many nice things but still got the Windows clunk about it.

I showed him the card feature of WebOS, he goes "yea i got a task manager" and suddenly i was looking at a screen straight out of Win95.

well a mate gave me 250 for my Hero so I got a pre on the way home. Really loving it so far but it could be the honeymoon period.

Touchstone seems a bit flakey so gonna moan about that in the shop on the way in this morning.

I am surprised this phone hasn't received more love, the OS seems better than android so far.

I actually played with the idea of getting one...went into O2 and saw one there on display so had a play with it to see what all the hype was about...to say i was underwhelmed is an understatement...i found it clunky and pretty sluggish...the keyboard was pretty dire, far too small and cramped and plus the tariffs they were offering it on were beyond ridiculous.

Ended up walking out with my BB in my hand thinking that Palm have a very long way to go in the mobile phone market...its a nice phone dont get me wrong but i wasnt that impressed in all honesty.
