So my friend bought a new PC case and wanted me to transfer all of his stuff to the new case. I moved everything over and when we connected the mouse and keyboard to the front panel USB's they just wouldn't work. I tried them on my PC and again, Window's doesn't even register that they exist.
I opened it up and to my surprise I accidentally connected the front USB header into the Firewire port on the motherboard.
I can only blame this, would it be correct?
Why would they make a port the exact same shape as the USB one that can potentially fry all of your peripherals?
I know it's completely my error etc, I just thought it's a bit mental that's all.
