I have got a asus pb278q 2560 x 1440 monitor

and the g card which was bought 2 weeks ago

evga gtx 680 4gb, do you think that is good for my res? does the 4gb make a good difference?

let me know your opinions

A 680 is a good card for a single monitor setup. It will power through all the current games with your monitor no problem. 4GB of RAM on your card is plenty. :)

Considering you could have got a 780 for a little more I'd say you did a mistake.

the classified was a week only deal from overclockers for £359

I had the chance to get a new 780 for £470 delivered msi TF but i opted out

but most 780s are 500 upwards which isnt close to the price I paid for the classy

Well that's not too bad then as the 2gb 680's are going for that.

The 4GB wont make a blind bit of difference, the limiting factor of those cards when upping the res is the smaller bus size, and even then it's not untill you start getting past 4m+ pixels does it really show its weakness.

Play some games on your setup, you should be able to play games with decent settings @playable FPS no probs.

what was the reason for the 4gb versions if they provide no gain on the 2gb?
