Did I finally get a good CPU?

Got my 2500K up and running.

Disabled all OC and over-voltage stuff in bios as just leaving Ocing well alone for a bit

Anyway, CPU-Z is showing just 1.128V under load.

Is that about normal, or did I for once end up with a nice low voltage chip that may potentially offer good OC potential down the line?

Must say, from previous gen i series, voltage control is a pain.

I will figure it out and get used to it, but when I was trying to run at 4ghz with the 1.128 listed above, and the board insisted on overvolting, and it was always in the 1.35 region.

Meh, may play this weekend for a bit, but am loving how the system is running at stock currently :)

Swings in roundabouts. Have bought many of the components of my existing build here.

But if I can save £20, I will.

Was playing around a bit with OCing this morning.

Overclocking these things using offset is a pain. From a quick go at manual voltage, 4.8 seemed stable at around 1.35.

Gone back to auto, as want to play games for a while, and not fiddle with this stuff :)
