Did I get a good CPU?

Just received my 4670k and was wondering if someone could fill me in whether it'll be a good overclocker or a pup.

It's a Malaysian chip and the batch number is: L408B479.

If anyone else has one from this batch, what's it like for clockability, temps, performance etc.?

Cheers!:D

Why don't you find out by overclocking it like everyone else? :p

If you intend on returning it within a returns window if it isn't a good batch, you could still use it, overclock it, take it out again, clean it up and return it in the window.

I'm sure you can wait until tomorrow. :D

I doubt you will get someone coming along saying "hey, I happen to know that my CPU was in that exact same batch and mine got to X.XXGHz with X.XX volts in the same motherboard as you ordered and ran at XX degrees while doing X with the same cooler and case as you ordered." before the rest of your bits get there. ;)

I'm ready to be proved wrong for the n'th time today though. :p

No harm in asking though, is there?

Never any harm in asking. :)

I'm going to leave now, I think I've left the wrong impression. My apologies. :p

I wasn't really looking for specifics regarding clock speeds and voltages. I've seen batch lists with a lot of batch numbers but can't seem to find any with mine on the list and was wondering if anyone knew any more about it.
