Did i get the right Motherboard for my upgrade?

Morning Everyone


Quick Question I placed a order yesterday and purchased the following I am having second thoughts on the board i chosen the Asus ROG Strix B650E-E Gaming WIFI (Socket AM5) DDR5 ATX Motherboard what has PCI E5 maybe should have gone for a Asus ROG STRIX B850-F GAMING WIFI Or A X870 E Version.

I also purchased a Asus GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Astral OC 32GB GDDR7 PCI-Express Graphics Card to go with it. I only Game in 4k at 120mhz and i just making sure there is going to be no benefit in games by changing the board with the below spec.


Any advice be great

The Strix B650E-E was a good board when B650E was current and would have been a good buy for that price (e.g. it has a strong VRM and an 8-layer PCB, 4x M.2 slots, lots of USB ports, decent sound).

The only thing you're missing from X870 is USB4, so if you don't care about that (and a small chance of needing to use USB flashback to update the BIOS), there's no reason to change.
