Did I get V power?

I normally put vpower in the clio 197 because it makes a huge difference (in the head)

However the other day the garage had all the 95 unleaded pumps out of use & the vpower badged as unleaded, were they selling it off as 95?

Surely they wouldn't contaminate the vpower tanks with the supermarket juice

Your precious clio is already dead

They might have been selling it off as unleaded, they'll make more money selling VPower a few pence a litre cheaper, than they would if they closed up for the day because they had run out of unleaded - though I find it hard to believe that a Shell petrol station ran out of Unleaded... I mean seriously? You had one job!

On the other hand some numpty might have put normal unleaded in the VPower tank, and they wanted to get rid of the sub-par VPower.

How are we meant to know? You should have asked! :p

I personally use VPower because it is a high quality fuel with lots of cleaning additives, and I also find that my cars have run smoother on it in comparison to cheaper fuels. It also isn't much more expensive than normal petrol, and you get double or triple Shell points for using it.

Not everyone thinks it makes a huge difference to the performance of their car.

^ Probably because those are the type of people who drive around 1.2 Corsa's and think Vpower will turn them into rockets. Personally prefer BP Ultimate as its the only fuel that doesn't have ethanol in it, which is much better for the engine and rubber seals.

I found that you can convert RON 95 into RON 99 if you put the nozzle up your **** hole and make it come out of your mouth, of course, you can turn RON 99 into RON 95 by reversing the process.

BP Ultimate 97 RON is the only one that doesn't use ethanol, Vpower and Tesco Momentum both use Ethanol, the amounts that are in there wont do any harm for the engine though.

I bet I lose well over 100bhp+ on RON 95, my car says do not use RON 100 or lower :D

My car blew up when I put poor people fuel in it once, so think you're ok this time.

For a year I ran normal fuel in the Aston. Then like 4 months ago I randomly stuck some Vpower in and the car crapped itself with reduced engine power warnings. Restarted the car and it was fine. Stuck with 95 Ron since then.

Should not notice any difference using Ron 98 or 99 unless the car has been mapped to use the higher octane.
Also, will make 0% difference on small 1.2L engines. Iv seen comparisons where there was a difference, but that was on 2L and 2.5L tuned cars (Evo's and scooby's).

I use premium in my S2000, but only because it was mapped for Ron 98, although can still run on 95 if I wanted.

Pepsilol, im surprised your aston prefers 95. Would imagine them to be mapped for 98+
Guess AM decided to map for 95 as most of the UK population use it and only select forecourts carry premium.

Sainsburys super doesnt use ethonol either, i've used that for the last 4 years in my s14 with no problems. (Its mapped for 97 which is what sainsburys is)

Tried super in my st220 and never noticed any difference so stuck with 95 for that.
