Hey guys got abit of a problem and need some help if possible please?

Ok decided after about 2 months to put my pc back together, all fine for 2 days untill yesterday i decided to plug my speakers back into it, plugged in the green one and oops pc turns off so im scratching my head as now when i press the on button it powers on for 2 mins then goes off.
So after its off check the sound card is slotted properly yep feels ok but as i let go of it pc starts up again ( EH? ) then turns off again 3 seconds later,
So que me unplugging everything from the mobo bar the graphics, and well um now nothing happens, PSU is still fine ran my checker on it, mobo still has green light underneath the graphics card but pressing the power button does nothing and ive tried a different power button aswell :/ suggestions please?

Mobo is an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 board.

Creative X-Fi Exreme Music was the sound card

What hard drive are you using sata, ide? Can you post an image of your motherboard in situ just in case their is something not plugging in. Have you reset your bios now you have taken out non essential?
 
Got any different components to test with? As in RAM and CPU?

And you should turn off the PSU before you tamper inside :)
 
SATA Drives, but their unplugged, ummm i do have a spare CPU, no spare ram but i was always under the impression a computer would start without a cpu and ram even if it failed post lol? or is that not true? will take a pic in a min so u can see but its got all the watercooling stuff in there still

Nope its not water related either checked the seals and nothing has leaked :p
 
firstly i can see that there is a power connection missing from the mobo.

EG a molex connector, if there are power connectors on a mobo fill them!

also try plugging in a fan to the cpu fan as the mobo might be sensing no cpu fan and kicking up a fuss.

Molex connector is only if there is 2 graphics cars, had it running fine for a year with no power in there, will try the cpu bit but 100% know it wont work as it just displays on post error message saying no cpu fan detected :/
