Did I make a mistake?

Um, I've just ordered the Acer P24W 24" panel.

The specs seem better than the OC value one but obviously lots of people raving about it and lots of comments about diffo types of panels which I don't really understand.

Has anyone had the chance to compare them or can anyone explain the differences?

It uses TN panel, worse colour reproduction and viewing angles. Slightly faster response time.

If you dont know about the panel differences your likely to find it an issue tbh. Those who care about panels tend to want specific things from their monitors (graphics artists etc).

This will be a great general use, videos, gaming etc panel. It might be a problem if your a serious photo editor (colours being exact match to real life etc) but thats about it.

So might it be fare to say that given it has a brighter display and quicker responce it might be a better desktop and gaming display?

The OcUK has higher a brightness rating (500 vs 400). There isn't any motion blurring that I can notice on my OcUK screen.

Personally I would change my order, the Acer is a good screen and has a better stand/surround etc. but the OcUK has the higher quality panel and it's a bit cheaper.
