Hi all. Picked up the Asus Rog Strix B650-E Gaming WiFi motherboard, ready for a AMD 3D chip early next year.

Ram wise I knew enough to check the Motherboard QVL list and this was on it, with cl32 timings for £202, so got that.

But I'm second guessing myself because the above only has Intel XMP 3.0 support. Will that work fine at the top speeds on my AMD board? Am I losing out by not getting "AMD Expo". For roughly the same price I could have got the below which is Expo certified but CL36 timings.

I'm a little out my depth with RAM to be honest lol. Which one would be better for my Motherboard?

AMD Expo is so new that it's hard to say, but I would trust XMP in an AMD motherboard more than an EXPO kit in an Intel motherboard (because XMP is much older, so more likely the motherboard will know what to do with it).

If the AMD board does go "WTF?" it should still boot at 4800 (datasheet says it is programmed to boot at 4800), so you can configure it manually. I'd assume if the kit is in QVL then they didn't have to do this.
