And I'm pretty sure the browser font has changed too, has there been an update to Chrome in the last day or so? Mine says its up to date in the Settings/About section.

If you check around other parts of the browser, they're slowly making Chrome fit their Material Design style. In chrome://flags there's an option to enable even more MD across the browser. Personally have that enabled, the flat style suits W10 more.

Cool, what are the differences in those settings? I see 'Default, Non-material, Material and Material Hybrid'?

Default is probably what you're seeing now. Non material will be the old Chrome look. Material will flattern everything and looks similar to Chrome on tablets. Hybrid mixes material up with the old style a bit although I don't really see what bits are.

My chrome bookmarks bar at the top seems to of doubled in size, any way to make it smaller?

I done a fresh system install today so everything was re-installed and yeah i also noticed this in Chrome,I like it though.
