Difference between 'buffered' and 'unbuffered' RAM?

Hi,

I'm going to be upgrading my MacBook's standard 1GB RAM to 2GB in the near future. There's over £50 difference between the buffered and unbuffered stuff on the OcUK website. Is there a substantial performance difference between the sticks? Is it really worth paying £50 for buffered stuff?

AFAIK the macs dont understand buffered RAM, whilst they will work they wont buffer it.

I think the buffering is designed for server arrays or something.

I just bought the cheaper stuff, it arrived today and I installed it about an hour ago.

Things seem quite speedy at the moment!
