Hey I'm soon going to purchase new pc components (C2D e2140, x1650pro, 800MHz 2gb ram) but I was wondering the difference between
Gigabyte GA P35 DS3 iP35 Socket 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard
and the
Gigabyte GA P35C DS3R Socket 775 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Is the difference just that the DS3R supports DDR3? If so I'll be going for the DS3 as I have no interest in DDR3

Apart from DDR3 the P35C-DS3R is a wider mobo; has 2 more intel SATA ports and has intel RAID.

I wont need 2 more SATA ports as I only plan to use 1 160gb SATA hard drive, maybe 2 and dont need RAID. Does the mobo being wider give any advantages? (I suppose heat is more spread out, but does this allow you to fit bigger graphics cards?)

Cool, thanks for the info I think I'll be going for the ds3 then :P coupled with a e2140, 2gb 800MHz corsair and a cheapo x1650 pro for £25 :P ( I might upgrade that later)
