difference between hdcp and hdmi?

I know i can google the meaning, but i see people writing "im gnna wait till hdmi/monitors cards will come out" and i hear other people saying "im gnna wait till hdcp cards/monitors will come out"
what are they and what do they do?

It's complicated. But the simple version. Yes you want a TV with HDMI inputs that are HDCP compliant. Although there are TV's with HDCP compliant DVI inputs, but they're getting few and far.

The HDTV devices/recievers of the future will come with HDCP not much you can do about that.
