Hi,
Aside from turboboost, what differences are there over the i3 range and the i5 range (excluding the quad core).

From what I see they are all 32nm, all dual core with HT and have an in-built gpu (on chip, not on die).

Thanks:)

It's kind of illegal in the geek circles to have any current processor and not overclock it... Turboboost is only useful for people that buy a factory made PC that can't be overclocked... Turboboost gives them a feel of an overclock.

Blimey, good job I'm sitting on the geek fence! I get the blistering speed and power of an overclock when single core kicks in, but the smooth laid-back 'fine-wine' experience of stock speeds otherwise :p

Ha ha, turbo boost is actually pretty decent without having to worry about damaging your CPU.

Seems the only difference between the i3/i5 is the Turbo Boost. I think the i3 chips are cheap and great for overclocking, according to reviews.

All i3s have built in GPUs on die and are duals with HT.

Some i5 are same as i3s - dual with gpu and HT and some are quads without GPU and no HT.

Main diff between the i3 and i5 duals/ht/gpu I think is the clock speed and that's it, + ofc diff socket.
Looks to me like the i5 clarkdales are just OCed i3s tbh...

Anyways if you want an i5 go for the quad one really : ).

From this bit-tech article, core i5 750 is currently the only quad-core i5. All others are dual core:
