Difference between nForce storage drivers, and Windows ones?

I was away to install the latest nForce driver for my EVGA 680 SLI motherboard last night, when it came up with a warning message asking me if I was sure I wanted to install the storage drivers, as they would replace the ones that came with Windows (in this case Windows 7).

Is this going to cause any major problems with my system or not? Also what about the Ethernet drivers?

Just don't want to screw up my PC too badly.

Personally I always use drivers from the manufacturer and I ignore any driver updates that are provided through Windows Update too...

Thanks mate. I think I'll just go ahead an install the latest nForce drivers then =)
