I ordered my Osram Silverstars the other day, they turned up today and they have sent my Sylvania Silverstars.

Now I know Osram/Sylvania are the same/partner companies, but have also found a couple of forums that do say the two bulbs are different.

Should I be calling them up asking for the Osrams I ordered or just fit these?

Found that the Osram Silverstars are equivlent to the Sylvania xtra-vision.

The Sylvania Silverstars have a blue coating on them :(

can you install them anyway just to see what they look like

as i've been told that the blue coating makes no difference and they still appear yellow.

I've read that the coating actually makes them a little duller :(

Can't fit them yet as wont have the car until Monday now, and if I open the pack I doubt I can send them back.

I just want what I paid for.

true

I'll probably just fit them as it looks like Osram Silverstars are only available in three fitments anyway.

Call them up and ask for them to be replaced. The blue coating does reduce the amount of light on the road - its the trade off for having a non yellow look. The best bulbs I've used to date are Philips GT150's I had in my Saxo, very crisp white light and an increase in brightness and distance over stock bulbs. ATM I'm looking at replacing the stock bulbs in my astra with the new Philips X-treme ones. Reviews seem very good, with reports of them being upto 80% brighter than stock, just no where have any left in stock :(

Problem is I don't think you can get them in my size :/ Looks like they only do H1, H4 or H7.

Haven't go tthe car this weekend so will see what they say on Monday.

What size are you after???

Ahh, that doesn't help then. I also see the ones from autobulbs direct actually show the pic of the Sylvania ones not the Osram ones, so would have thought you'd get the same from them.

Yeah, aw well will just stick with them I think, can't be bothered with any hassle in swapping them/sending them back.

yeah these bubls with a blue tint are a joke.. atleast the ones i got.. i might aswell ahve been driving with no lights on lol

get HID conversion lol

i think the xenon bubls give a nice white/blue color not yellow
