Hello all, after a little advice on monitoring the cpu temp. I have an ABIT IP35 Pro XE m/b which has uGuru monitoring and overclocking facility. When monitoring the cpu temp using uGuru, the temp shown is around 10 - 15 degrees higher than that of Core Temp. Which one is going to be the most accurate?

Thanks, I had a read through all that. I set TJmax to 90 on Real Temp and it gave me figures of around 17 degrees C across the 4 cores. With it set to 95 its 20 degrees C at idle. Does these temps seem low for an unclocked Q6600 with Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro fan + heatsink?

discrepency sorted :D

I did a BIOS update and with TJmax set to 95 on Real Temp, the temp reading is within 1 degree of the uGuru reading :). System now idles at 28 degrees C in a pretty warm room.

Thanks for your help
