The difference is one is a runflat, one isn't.

Do not mix runflat and non runflat.

Yeah I know it just seems daft there both called the same part number? I would never mix them as I know id end up in a hedge! :P

They are the same model of tyre though - with the same performance characteristics. Just one is RFT and the other isn't, in the same way that some are 17" and others are 18".

Neither do I. Never liked them myself.

They also have different load and speed ratings though. It is not just that one is RFT.

Personally, I'd get these : http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134...Eff_:_F_Wet_Grip:_C_NoiseClass:_1_Noise:_67dB

Ran them on my 335d for 16k and still had 5mm on the fronts and 5.5mm on the rears when I sold them. Excellent tyres.

Or these would be another contender : http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134...Eff_:_C_Wet_Grip:_A_NoiseClass:_2_Noise:_70dB

But by the time you get them delivered, then fitted they will be a little more than the bridgestones.

Or Continentals, but again a bit more expensive : http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134...Eff_:_E_Wet_Grip:_A_NoiseClass:_2_Noise:_72dB

Indeed, PSS much better.

Potenzas were crap on the XK, XJ, 911, DB9 and 330i. Always crap in the rain, no idea why my cars always turn up with them.

Despise the RE050A that I'm currently having to use whilst waiting for a new Goodyear to come from Italy (it's a weird size apparently). They're especially harsh riding, but are no more precise than said Goodyears, tramline like crazy and have less grip, particularly in the wet.
