I would imagine its just the oc. Silly really, the gamerock 1070 and the gamerock premium 1070 has a £60 percent price difference for a factory overclock.

£900 GeForce GTX 1080 DirectCU III Strix OC Gaming Aura RGB 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card

£660 GeForce GTX 1080 DirectCU III Strix Advanced Gaming Aura RGB 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics

Are these two cards identical apart from the factory core & mem overclock? Is the cheaper card voltage unlocked? I wondering whether it would be possible to OC it to the same clocks as the more expensive one.
Massive price difference.

AFAIK it really is just the factory OC.
In regards to OCing it to get to the OC version of the Strix, that i would guess is down to the silicone lottery.

Wow, £240 for a extra 101mhz on the core. That's just ridiculous.

This is a much better buy and is only 25mhz lower on the core yet has a hefty memory overclock to 10800mhz which the Asus doesn't have. Longer warranty too at 5 years.

If you really want to pay crazy prices get a Pascal Titan + waterblock.

It will even clock higher than the factory oced Asus 1080 lol.

They are identical apart from clock speeds set in the BIOS.

The OC is not worth the money unless you really value the higher overclock. The Advance is identical apart from the OC.
