Difference between VGA and DVI

Hi,

I have a graphics card with a DVI out and am currently using a DVI-VGA convertor and a VGA cable. Will I notice any difference in quality by using a DVI cable instead of a VGA one? My screen will accept both VGA and DVI.

Further question, I have a 22 inch Samsung LCD (225MW) will this reap a noticible quality difference from using DVI instead of VGA? Thanks
