Potentially an incredibly stupid question.

What is the difference between the different brand 680s at the moment. Clock speeds look the same, coolers look the same. Price varies. I assume the ports on the back are different on some.

Any other reason the price between the OcUK 680 and the Asus 680 differs by £30?

virtually no difference in terms of performance. The main differences are usually in the cooling solution and warranty etc

If I am replacing the cooler with a waterblock, any reason to go for anything other than the OcUK one?

I think evga still honours a warranty if you remove the cooler? Think I read that somewhere..

The difference atm are the stickers and the warranties. The ocuk card is probably palit. I'd read through the warranties, but I'm guessing palit will not honour a warranty on a card you remove the cooler on, as gainward doesn't.

so basically all the different companies that sell the cards they receive a complete working card, pcb + ram + gpu + fan from NVIDIA or AMD and they just put their badge/custom fan on it, bundle it with software / handbook and sell it with different warranty / service?

Cool, cheers gang!

Gonna look into who would like to sell me a 680 and keep my warrenty after removing the cooler!

They will all be the same referance design boards, the only difference being stickers, warranty and bios.

If you are removing the cooler, get an Evga one, as they allow 100% removal of the stock cooling solution.

Evga also has an active presence on OCUk's forum keeping an eye open for their customers.
