Difference?

Its the 3 vs 1 year warranty, shiny box and a stock intel heatsink/fan

Instead of those, get a i5 2500K@£161.99 Retail.

Only 100Mhz slower, but includes a integrated graphics core, so you get Luic/Quicksync

is that good then? the luic/quicksync?
What does it do?

I have xfire 6950's and a titan fenrir evo heatsink
if that changes anything.

Lucid Virtu allows the switching between a GFX card and the onboard GFX solution (saves power etc)

Quicksync allows programs (if supported) to use the onboard GFX core to speed up rendering/editing times as a GFX core is faster than just a CPU core.

And you also get a GFX solution to use if you have a graphics card failure.

Ha now that you put it that way it does sound better.

I'm going to wait to see what ivy bridge has to offer before I get my upgrade, that thanks :D

Edit: Will that I5 you picked out be quicker at stock than my oc phenom II? it's at 3.8 atm

Lucid Virtu won't work with crossfired graphics, just to update. it states in my Asrock Z77 that it only works with single card configs :)

Just get the 2500K Connor, Like Stulid said, if your graphics fail for any reason, at least you'll have the onboard Gpu to sort any problems out :)
