which to buy from these 2 versions??? which is better/?

to buy the original ae-9 or to buy the Sound Blaster AE-9PE playback edition??

why the most online shops dont have the original AE-9?? and have only the AE-9PE playback edition .??

The sound card itself is identical.

The difference is in the external audio control module. The Standard version has XLR (with phantom power) and 3.5 mm microphone inputs, the Playback Edition has no microphone input.

So it comes down your usage requirement - do you need the ability to connect non usb microphones? Buy the standard. Only buy the Playback edition if you have absolutely no intention of ever connecting an analogue microphone to your system.

I've got the standard edition and havent plugged in the control module but its handy to have in case I need to start using headphones or upgrade to a better quality mic than the usb one I have.
