Differences between GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB cards

There are no real differences, they're all reference cards so you'll probably find that the stock ones will overclock to the speeds of the pre-overclocked ones (though nothing here is guaranteed). Apparently asus have changed the cooler on their card but essentially they're the same card as said. The bundles taht come with the cards might be important to you though.:)

The only differences are the stickers on the card and the warranties that come with them. A couple of them are pre-overclocked but you can do that yourself and save loads, just go for the cheapest with a decent warranty.

They're all very similar, just get one with a good warranty / reputation such as /EVGA BFG out of choice.

Yeah BFG have a great rep 8800GT OC2 anyone? ;)

Just get the cheapest and don't worry about long warranties, not many of us even keep the same card after a year never mind 10.

You're scaring me! I have one of those being delivered tomorrow. What's the deal with this card anyhow?

whats the best one?
I think I would recommend an 8800GT 512MB instead of a 8800GTS 512MB, I've got both and there is no way the 8800GTS 512MB is worth nearly an extra £50 premium over the 8800GT 512MB.

The refence cooler is pants, they overheat and die.
I don't agree :)

The reference cooler on the 8800GTS 512MB is very good so you can't be talking about that? If we are talking about the original single-slot cooler on Beta 8800GT's then yes it wasn't great on auto allowing some cards to run as high as 95°C, however even though the card were that hot there still ran fine with no graphic glitches or crashes (at least for me).

The 'new' reference cooler on the 8800GT's is much improved and does a really great job while remaining quiet, making it an even more compelling purchase!
